about

This piece of music is an interpretation to a graphic score called “Qscore”. The creation of the score, and the recording and playing of all instruments was done by Galen Passen.

lyrics

Galen's statement on the album cover art:
The words “quarantine”, “a”, and “compilation” were cut from a collage of Carnatic music notations, Bach, and Theodorakis’ Zorba the greek notation. The BRM letters reference the development NYC, the commerce and industry, and the fight for survival. This culminates in the inevitable ruin of capitalist and racist power structures at the M, with a music goddess showing the path to love, life, and creativity. BRM in a nutshell? I don’t know but that’s what came out!
